Tokoname ware is a type of Japanese pottery that originated in the Tokoname region of Aichi Prefecture. It is known for its distinctive red clay and unglazed finish, as well as its durability and practicality, making it a popular choice for tea ware such as teapots and cups.

Yuzamashi is a Japanese tea vessel used for cooling hot water to the optimal temperature for brewing tea. It is a small, ceramic pitcher with a flat or slightly concave base and a straight, narrow spout. Yuzamashi is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony to adjust the temperature of hot water used for brewing delicate green teas like sencha and gyokuro. The vessel is filled with hot water, which is then poured into a tea pot or tea bowl to lower the temperature. Yuzamashi is an essential tool for achieving a perfectly balanced and delicious cup of tea, and its design and functionality reflect the precision and attention to detail that is characteristic of Japanese culture.
